Green Chutney - Coriander Chutney for Chaat Recipes

Green Chutney
Green chutney is a versatile Indian condiment that can be used in various chat recipes. This katta meeta dip is prepared with mint and coriander leaves along with lime juice and some spices. This chutney can used as base in different dishes. Goes well with both south indian and north indian snacks. I usually prepare it and store it to use in sandwiches or sometimes as a dip etc., etc.,.. It is sure a keeper recipe.

Green Chutney Recipe - Ingredients:
Preparation time: 10 mins | Recipe cuisine: Indian | Category: Condiment / Dip

Coriander leaves  - 1 cup
Mint leaves - 1/2 cup
Almonds  - 6 nos
Onion -  1 small
Green chili - 2 nos
Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
Garlic  - 1- 2  cloves
Lime juice  -  1 tsp
Sugar  - 1 tsp
Black salt  (kala namak) - a pinch ( optional)
or
Salt as needed

Method:
1. Wash the leaves and keep aside. Blend all the ingredients other than leaves and lemon juice first.
2. Add  coriander and mint leaves and blend it.
3. Finally add the lemon juice and grind to  a smooth paste.

Refrigerate and use as required.
