Bread Slices - 2
Milk - 1/4 cup
Custard powder(any flavor) - 1/2 to 1 tbsp (you can also use corn flour)
Sugar - 1 tsp
Ghee/ Butter - required to toast
Vanilla essence - a drop (if using corn flour)
1. Boil the milk and allow it to be warm . Then add custard powder and sugar and stir well until it dissolves.
3. Toast the bread on both sides till golden brown. If you find sticky apply little more butter.
French toast is ready. Serve it hot topped with more butter or honey. You can also sprinkle some powdered sugar and cinnamon when it is still warm.
- Don't leave the bread dipped in milk more than a sec , else it will turn mushy and cannot be toasted.
- Grease the tawa well so that it will not stick.
